MONSTERS AND KAIJU MOVIES
|
EXCELLENT! Atomic Monsters - This site can be tricky to navigate (Flip the switch, flip it!), but make sure you take time to read the reviews. Each one jumps out at you, the layout is more like a magazine color supplement than a dingy old webpage. Each review also has great tidbits added, be they just for fun or providing more information. Winner of the Legion of Muck Award for January 2001 - March 2001. |
Toho Kingdom - A great resource for information about Toho's films, with a heavy slant on the monster movies. I often wonder what happened to all the giant monster movie sites and finding a place like this helps me cope. |
Monstrula - A German site for monster lovers! Aliens, radioactive beasts, and even terrifying humans can be found amongst its pages. I am very interested in a movie called "Terror Serpent" that I found in the reviews. If you need to translate the pages, use Babel Fish. |
Digital Monster Island - This is a great resource for anyone looking for online news about monster movies or DVD release information. The site covers everything: old b-movie classics, Godzilla and Gamera, and even newcomers to the giant monster scene like "The Host." |
Neo Monster Island - An online comic populated by all your favorite kaiju and friends. Not necessarily safe to browse at work, because the language and some of the images might annoy your boss, but good grief some of the strips are funny. I happened across a strip that had Hedorah brutalizing/melting forum trolls that made me laugh out loud more than once. |
Rubber Monster! - Page dedicated to Godzilla, very easy to navigate and consisting of images, sounds, and midis that he has collected from all over. |
