I went for all I could remember, although a lot of those films have been released under different names, so I may have missed a few.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

shame about the 'alternate titles' thing. I wish they didn't do that, you never get it with band's albums for example - well maybe very rarely.. but every movie released before 1990 seems to have about 73 different titles

alandhopewell

I also saw MADHOUSE, but I didn't think they could be talking about the Vincent Price film, so I didn't click it.

What put their bloomers in a twist, an'hoo?
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

I've seen 40 of those.  Possibly more: I may have seen others that had different titles than the ones I see on the list.

after some really quick and possibly unreliable research, the MADHOUSE on this list was made in 1981 and the alternate titles are:

THERE WAS A LITTLE GIRL
AND WHEN SHE WAS BAD
FLESH AND THE BEAST
SCARED TO DEATH
PARTY DES SCHRECKENS

Flick James

I've seen so few on the list. I am surprised that not more have seen Evilspeak.

Just one. "The Funhouse," but I hope most of the others are better than that one. I can remember that is one of the few films that ever gave me nausea.

Couchtr26

Ah, the good old days.

crackers

I have seen 14 of them. There is a brilliant DVD documentary called Video Nasties: The Definitive Guide Box Set

It's really interesting and great to use as a tick sheet.

I think I've actually seen 35 of them!  I remember hearing some of those movies were banned at some point and I was expecting them to be really gorey or violent, and ended up just being really confused as to why they were banned after watching them.

I felt that way about some of them, like Evilspeak. Some of them, I think, are due to the times in which they were released. The Last House on the Left is fairly dark even by today's standards, let alone the early 70's. The aforementioned Evilspeak was released during the early 80's Satanic panic, which was a very big deal in the U.S., but also carried some sway across the pond, and I guess people thought it would encourage Satanism. I guess it didn't help that Anton Le Vey stated publicly that he loved the film.
