Best board games

Well, I've gotten my wife into a couple of classics... Talisman, and Arkham Horror.

I played 2nd ed Talisman in college, and we're playing revised 4th now with expansions... awesome game that is.

Arkham we have just started playing in the last few weeks... it is quite the deal to set the game up, and playing with only two investigators has its own challenges, but it's a fun game for sure.

Stuff like Sorry and Monopoly just doesn't have enough going on for me anymore, most days.   And if I have to play another game of Chutes and Ladders again I'll lose 20 SAN points...

We do play Monopoly like once or sometimes twice a year so it never gets boring for me. Other than that I haven't ventured into other board games very much.

Never really been into board games, as I would always be forced to play them at some snotty brats house when I was a young 'un. The kid whose house it was would always scream and b***h unless you did everything they said and let them win.

The coolest one I ever had was Darkworld. It took an eternity to build and paint the figures and the rules were far too complicated but I liked it.

The Game of Life is a classic too. And Stratego! I always wanted one of those Field Marshal uniforms.

WHICH WITCH!  I can't believe it. I had completely forgotten that one! I played that one as a very young lad.
I love the classics. Life, Scrabble, Monopoly, Clue, Battleship.

Scattergories, hands down, one of the best board games that there is.

Pretty much, you have a D20 with a letter on each face and you roll it to decide the letter for the round. After that, you and your friends have lists of categories, like, "Things In the Kitchen" or "Movie Titles" and you have to think of one that begins with the letter rolled at the beginning of the round.

My favorite board game was and still is Clue.  The sad part is that I never got to play it much due to the fact my parents didn't like the game or only one of them would play when you needed 3 players.  I never got why they bought the game for me then.  Loved the book series that was also about the game.  Still own a bunch of the books somewhere.

There was another game I played as a young child, I'm not sure if it was an actual board game or not, but I'm trying to figure out what it was called. It involved assembling a small glow-in-the-dark skeleton, piece by piece. I think it was a board game where the goal was to completely assemble the skeleton, and the pieces were the standard green glow-in-the-dark plastic.

This was the 70's. Does anybody else know of this game?

I love Stratego.  My brother and I used to play that all the time.

I like Monopoly but I will not play it with my wife.  She gets p!ssy because I'm a real d!ckhead when I play it.

My wife and I play this game and it is a lot of fun.  I can't wait until my kids are old enough to play.

Some of my other all time favs include Guess Who which I do play with my 5 year old.  We also have this game called "Animal Soup" which is fun. 

I also love any Trivia game but no one wants to play with me because I'm a nerd and know a lot of useless facts.
