What do you think about abortion?

Myself- no. No. I can understand why some folks are for it, but It aint me.

That's the only subject I don't have an opinion on.

I will never be able to convince myself it is anything other than the taking of a human life.
I recognize there are rare cases where it is a medical or moral necessity - no 11 year old should be forced to bear her rapist's child - but its normal use as ex post facto birth control is a shame.

Scoff, it's for wimps. Now exposing your unwanted infant after birth....that's showing those feelings of maternal bonding who's boss!

I think the whole slogan about not telling women what they can do with their bodies is wrong. You aren't telling them what they can or can't do with their own body. You are telling them what they can or can't do to someone elses.

I do believe there are times when it is justified or even necessary11, but as with Indy I do not believe it should ever be used as a form of birth control. There are plenty of other options out there for that.

After we lost Lilly-Beth, both the women I knew who'd had abortions seemed to think in some way I'd hate them. I try not to presume to judge them though. It is a situation I've not been in myself so I can't speak for what they went through before that led to that decision or how they felt afterwards.
