We ain't done the listing thing in a while-and it's fun. Some movies I couldn't imagine without the soundtrack. Some movies-(like DEEP RED) are so much better with the soundtrack. I couldn't imagine HALLOWEEN (1978) without that music!

1. HALLOWEEN (1978)

Hail to thyself
For I am my own master
I am my own god

For I am no sheep.

Rev. Powell

Good idea RC!

I'm still not able to see posted videos so I'll just show my entry without a video:
4. EXORCIST- Mike Oldfield
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

Rev. Powell

5. MANOS, THE HANDS OF FATE

I actually like this soundtrack. I'm not joking. It's much more competent than the underlying movie, "Torgo's Theme" is a true earworm, and this song has terrible lyrics ("Forgetting you/Is a thing I cannot do/Yet I know it is very true/I'm forgetting you...") but a wonderful melody:

Allhallowsday

If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Rev. Powell

7. 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY

Even though Stanley Kubrick used no original music (he decided not to go with the soundtrack MGM commissioned from Alex North, which is actually pretty good), the classical music selections he made are absolutely perfect and all instantly iconic.

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

10. The Untouchables (1987): Music by the great Ennio Morricone.

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

So-so movie, fantastic soundtrack with original music from David Bowie, Ray Davies, Sade, Gil Evans, etc.

14. AMADEUS (1984)

Again, not original music, but perfectly integrated into the story. This scene is brilliantly done (Salieri wrote a march to honor Mozart, and he sits down at the piano to play it):
