I have seen the movie yesterday and I must say that Zack Snyder created a different approach. There's no dull moment in the film, but you can see how Ezra Miller steals the spotlight among the other characters. This is actually different than what I expected now I can say that Marvel is way better than DC. I just hope that they have emphasized more on the story as it is missing. I will give it a 6.5 for the visual effects, characters, and the humor.

So not great but still enjoyable?

Yes, you will enjoy it but it's not what you will expect it to be. A lot of things is missing.

Such as seats in the seats.

One need not go far on the internet to find comments that JL underperformed its 1st weekend in theaters. Though, it has seemed to have done steady business since then. As of 11/26/17 it had earned $172 million at the domestic box office. With $279 million as of 11/19/17 at the international box office.

Of course, it is difficult to know how much a film has to generate at the box office, ere it starts becoming profitable, but with a film costing $300 million to make, it is believed JL has to earn between 2 to 2 and a half times it cost to make it, ere it starts turning a profit. Thus, while it is likely to earn back the cost to make it, it is more questionable whether it will ever turn a profit.

The reasons why it might ne'er earn a profit are wide and many. From having 2 directors with conflicting visions to studio interference.

We'll have to see whether it continues to have box office appeal, but already Disney-Pixar's Coco has surpassed it at the box office as the #1 film domestically.

We'll have to also see whether the rumor is true that Ben Affleck wants to hang up his cape and cowl, and if he does, whether Jake Gyllenhaal will take them up, as there is also the rumor that he is angling to be the next film Batman. Which is making some folks happy, as Jake is believed to bring a lighter touch to the role than Ben.

And we will see what we will see.
