Except for being breezy enough to send stray tree branches down on you, as almost happened to me walking outside where I am now, it's celestially flawless. Seventy, sunny, breezy, and above all that lovely smell that only seems to be out for a little while in early spring. In short: ahhhhh.....

Cold and dark with a strong smell of woodsmoke in the air.

Rain and very cold wind last night. Almost freezing this morning.

Cold and incredibly gusty this afternoon. Shook the car. Tonight it rained a little here but the storms were stronger to the north, and around twilight I went outside and happened to look that direction and saw the ENTIRE sky light up sheer blue-white, from lightning. No sound whatsoever, just the illumination.

Another cold rainy night. Cracked the ceiling window above my bed a bit open, and enjoyed the live sound of rain hitting the window.

Enjoying this while it lasts because forecast is predicting up to 18°C for the weekend.

It was actually 20°C-21°C over the weekend, but it was overcast and didn't feel like 20°C.

Temps are down to 9°C today. We had rain this morning, and a windstorm warning for late afternoon on my weather app.
Is it October yet?

Big dangerous storms all day, with temperatures forecast to fall dramatically the next two days. I like storms in general but these are the type that down power lines, which ain't cool.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

For the past few days it was on the verge of being summerlike but today we have rain.

It is eerily dead calm outside right now as it has been most of the late morning after the first system of storms hit in the overnight and around dawn. The sky is an odd, almost metallic gray. Schools have dismissed early, businesses are closing, the National Guard is on stand-by in some counties, the risk for destructive weather is higher than it has been in eleven years. The forecast is that the worst of it will be here in the second half of the afternoon and the earlier portion of evening, bringing a strong probability of hail up to 2.5 inches, two inches of rain an hour, seventy-five MPH straight line winds, and worst of all, "powerful, long-track tornadoes." Until then all there is to do is wait.

Ahhhh, we survived with no damage. Touch or go for a while, and not everyone was so fortunate. I tell you the relief at making it through a scary weather event like this feels so good all the fear is almost worth it.

Freakiest thing seeing lots of storm chasers with YouTube channels in your city, in places you know, forecasting odds of tornadoes, and showing where super cells will be likely to form.  One town south of us had straight line winds that showed up on radar as 130 mph, if that report was accurate.

Vortices all around us, at least three tornadoes in the local TV viewing area, maybe more. Just a rough and tense day, but all is well, and it is always strange when the sky goes from dark and terrifying to a beautiful orange sunset within minutes.

Almost 7 pm here and the rain is bucketing down 😳
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.
