A bit of a long shot but it's not one of the puppet master films is it?

Joe

no puppet has ever picked up a dish and threw it.

Do you have proof of that?

Joe

i own all of the puppet master movies and have seen them all a bagillion times, im positive. they have their own little weapons they dont need plates anyway. the only two that laugh are jester and six-shoot but more or less six-shooter.

P.S. The totems from part 4 and 5 dont throw dishes either, and they dont laugh.

A real longshot  this (I haven't watched them in a while) but there was no scene like the first one described in "Trilogy of Terror" with the Zuni doll, was there? Or possibly in the Hammer House of Horror episode "Charlie Boy"?

Who here's ever heard of a little movie called "Beasties"? It involves these little aliens who come to Earth and start attacking people. I haven't seen it, but it might, just MIGHT be the flick we're trying to find.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

D-Man has not visited the board since 13 January.  I think we will have to wait and see, if and when he drops by again.

Hmmmm...possible...I've never heard of this film, so it might be.

Then again...I don't think the creature really had teeth, or was that slimy...I'll have to look into it more.

Plus, I'm going to take a closer look at Hammer House of Horror, because I never heard of that show either, and the scene I'm talking about looked like it had the production value of a TV show made at about the time it came out, which was 1980 according to the IMDB.

I have seen the Charlie Boy episode of Hammer House of Horror.  The doll in it is not a ventriloquist dummy, it was something more like the Zuni fetish doll from Trilogy of Terror.  I remember it was made of wood and had nails driven into it.  It was sort of an orange color.

I think the story was that it had been owned by some British soldiers in Africa during colonial times, and everyone who'd owned it since had died mysteriously.  Some guy bought it and everyone around him started dying mysteriously.  BUM BUM BUM!

I can't for the life of me remember if it actully came to life or if people connected to it just died "accidentally".

Ah, here we go:

Here's a pic of "Charlie Boy" from my own review.

Actually I'm not sure if he was ever shown actually moving. I believe it was just implied that he did. It's been a while since I saw it.  I did say it was a long shot.
