The kids on the bus were on a field trip not just being taken home from school.

I saw on the preview that whoever was on the prison bus is featured next week.

I had read a review of the pilot and it went pretty much the way the review said. The show has a large cast and in a one hour pilot they spend a lot of time just marching people in front of the camera and introducing them.

Another one you might be interested in is NBC's Hero's. It's about several people finding they have super abilities, someone who is looking for them, and someone who is trying to cover up their existence. All the characters were not featured in the pilot.

They let the pilot out on iTunes I believe, anyway I saw it at my son's place last time I was over there. I think it starts next Monday night.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Okay, so the school authorities did not know the route the bus was taking on said field trip?

It's a minor thing, really, and I don't want to belabor the point.  All I'm saying is there were parts of the plot that felt really forced and could have been done better.

I think it suffered the rushed feelings of many pilot episodes. The characters have to be introduced and the premise has to be explained, etc.

It has some promise, but like many shows it can't be judged by the first episode.

I have to say, I was shocked at Gerald McRaney's appearance. I've been watching him lately on old Simon & Simon reruns, when he was young and in a whole lot better physical shape.

Considering these recent trends, I can't help but think that Cemetary Man is just begging to be spun off into some kind of situation comedy.

I liked Surface that was on last year and it just dis-ay-peared.  Just when it was getting wound up, too.  It will be interesting at the least to see what they do with the premise they've set up for Jericho.  Where the bombs terrorists?  An all-out war?

I really hated the way they dumped Surface, like you said ulthar it was just getting really interesting. They were showing it on NBC and on SciFi (SciFi even had a couple of marathon catch up nights of it). I really hate it when they unceremoniously dump a series without letting them wrap it up in some way.

I don't know how Jericho will work out, but I'm willing to give it a few weeks.

Just a reminder that JERICHO is on tonight. Anyone one who watched last week will remember that the officer was killed checking on the crashed convict bus, a teenager is already storing food in the store icebox, and we might find out if the crazy ham operator made contact with anyone outside of Jericho.

I'm suppose to be four different places today, but might be home in time to see JERICHO if my wife isn't already watching DANCING WITH THE STARS.

My mistake. Thought it was on tonight, but it's on Wednesday at 8pm. You'll have to wait till tomorrow to be paranoid. Talk about anticipation.

Don't forget to catch JERICHO tonight so we can have a nice running apocalyptic discussion. Also I forgot to mention its suppose to rain tonight on JERICHO an I'm assuming this means a radioactive rain and those covicts from the bus are loose in town.

Scott

Wow, how about tonights show? Any thought on these parts?

That situation with the convicts and the two woman was intense. I was thinking how she should have just come down the stairs and blown them away, but we have the mayors son come to the rescue revealing some kind of bad past between the two.

The teens who's parents are gone

The salt mine. The mayors son sure knows how to do a lot of things. Where's he been for the past five years as Trek Geezer pointed out last week.

The guy on the radio who gets the morse code message and all those tacks indicating all the cities have have been nuked. Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Diego, and more.

The nuclear rains have come to Jericho and the hospital situation.

What happened to the mayor. Heart attack or stroke?

Judging from next weeks preview it looks like they must have survived the rain for now and will be spreading out and looking for more survivors.

For those who saw the show can you raise your hand?

trekgeezer

Yeah, Scott the mysteries just keep a-comin'.

I watched it.  I thought the action sequences a bit better than those in the pilot.  At least there WAS some suspense this time.

One of the biggest things that has me interested is the black guy.  Who IS he?  What does he know?  Why did he hide the fact of the received message from the Mayor's wife?

Something's up with him.

(on a complete side note, is it just a bit sad that you can identify a chararacter on a tv show with 20 significant characters as "THE black guy"?  Oh well, small towns do tend to be rather homogenous.)
