Someone other than Liam Neeson could probably have a lot of fun playing George Peppard. Who would you cast? Maybe Tom Hardy?

ok, given this a lot of thought and my choice would be... AI George Peppard

he didn't exactly have any unusual or striking features but I can't think of anyone who resembles him?

yes Snoop as Huggy Bear makes a lot of sense

Am I the only one here that really liked the A-Team movie?

I like it well enough, and own it on Blu-ray. I did watch the series when I was a kid, but I wasn't that much of a fan to watch every episode.
I probably enjoyed The Fall Guy series a little more.
Is it October yet?

If they were to movie-ize THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN this year then they'd have to call it THE $34,968,178.44 MAN (source: usinflationcalculator.com), not quite as catchy...

I know there were a few spinoff movies of that in the 80s already

They are giving vintage classics a contemporary makeover for a contemporary audience adjusted to contemporary viewing habits and sensibilities. Obviously, things that were ok in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s can't be done any more unless they want to start a hysterical global Internet meltdown  :bouncegiggle:

I like some of the remakes, and some I don't. For example, Road House 2024 did nothing for me. It lacks whatever made the original so good. They knew that, and knew they couldn't recreate the magic and essence from the time it was made. Road House 2024 was filmed mostly in the Dominican Republic, pretending to be elsewhere. So much for the essence.

They hired one of the biggest names, Jake Gyllenhaal, and applied CGI stunt doubles for 'realistic fight scenes'. End result is a glossy over the top 'superhero' movie that looks and feels artificial (it also has some really bad CGI effects).

yeah,I mean, times change... of course

you probably couldn't get away with "I've never been seen with anything less than a 9" from the FALL GUY  theme tune now

but I get the feeling a lot of these are just excuses to basically make the kind of new movie they were going to make anyway, then shoehorning an established tv show into it for added clout / publicity

Belated and in service now to absolutely nothing,
I do apologize humbly for getting the ages of the Golden Girls wrong.  :bluesad:

I used to think Rue was a pretty decent-looking 65-70 year old. As 51 year olds go, though... anyway.  :drink:
