I've been pondering the assignment. Here we go:

Amidst proceedings that I find generally childish, ignorant, snotty, and poorly conceived... Mink Stole gives a tour-de-force performance in PINK FLAMINGOS (though of course she always was Waters' not-so-secret weapon) and whenever I stumble across an image of "Connie Marble" I just marvel at how incredibly sexy Stole is, w/ that hair and those glasses and otherwise just being Mink Stole, amidst a film that otherwise makes me want to take a shower.

David Lochary is good as Mr. Marble, too.

The locations/settings/scenery in all 3 LOTR movies are amazing

Manos has a darker ending than I would have expected from the rest of the movie.

Female Vampire (a.k.a. The Bare-Breasted Countess), feels like a beautiful jigsaw puzzle that was put together all wrong.  It's got great atmosphere, great performances, good characters, a perfect title... it just never feels like it comes together like it should.

While Zontor The Thing From Venus is pretty indicative of Larry Buchanan's works, he at least replaced a grinning evil carrot with a really cool monster bat creature.....

I haven't seen It Conquered The World, but I'm left to assume it must be far superior to Zontor The Thing From Venus...

Jackie Earle Haley (Rorshach in Watchmen, Kelly Leek in the Bad News Bears series) was the shining point of the Nightmare On Elm Street remake from 2010.

The movie was god-awful and the cgi was bad, as were most of the performances. But the highlight was Haley as Freddy. Delivered a solid performance, was creepy and a bit more serious. The makeup and cgi used were terrible on him, and I get they were going for a 'realistic' look for a burn victim but they should've done full practical makeup.

Wouldn't say he's better than Robert Englund, but he was good, despite everything else.
