Let's see if anyone tunes back in on Monday morning and wants to name a '58 or '59... or if this ship has sailed and you and I are going to have to pickle-ball these back and forth between each other for the next 30 titles.

The 1959 movie I was hinting at was IN COLD BLOOD, but I'm thrilled to see something else from a new contributor! And I did not think of RED ZONE CUBA, good one!

72. Hidden Figures (ends with the Mercury-Atlas 6 flight, Feb. 1962)

Okay, nobody has bitten, and though it seems perverse (in the US anyway) to skip 1963, I'm a perverse guy, so:

73.) FIVE CORNERS (1987) - takes place in NYC during 1964 against the backdrop of the growing civil rights movement.
Just figured this was an opportunity to plug a cool sleeper flick, directed by Tony Bill (UNTAMED HEART), written by John Patrick Shanley (MOONSTRUCK), and starring a great ensemble cast including Jodie Foster, Tim Robbins, Todd Graff, and a terrifying young John Turturro.
