A film with a Cop turning into a Demon

I remember seeing a bit of this film ages ago and it had something to do with a Police Officer becoming a Demon and then stalking these girls in a cabin out in the woods, does anyone know what this film was called?

nah, maniac cop goes nowhere near the woods. oddly, bruce campbell was the hero in maniac cop, and the hero in evil dead/evil dead 2, the later two having scenes of demon people coming from the woods to attack people in cabins, but no cops (to say the least of demon cops) in either of those.

Psycho Cop?

It takes place in a house near woods, but I don't remember the cop being a demon.  Some of the IMDb comments say he worshiped the devil.

No I don't think it was Psycho Cop, I remember this Officer was turned into a Demon by a Statute with glowing yellow eyes, it's been so long since I've seen it.

Could you be thinking of "Equinox" with the stop motion monsters and a park ranger who is a devil?

There is a cabin, though they do not really stay in it, but he does menace one of the girls quite a bit.

are you sure this isn't a story in an anthology movie?the statue with the golden eyes strikes a bell...it would be an indie movie...oh hell!! i can't think of the name,and i sold it a long time ago!! i think it may be called dark stories,from new zealand,or australia...

My guess was going to be Psycho Cop (1989) but I guess it isn't that. My next guess is Demon Cop (1990) though I don't remember the specific scene.
