"This Bill would allow essentially allow A Great Firewall of America and would be a shameful desecration of free speech and any sort of reasonable copyright law. The new Law would allow copyright holders to force websites which have any copyrighted material to be blocked by ISP companies around the country, without requiring that the websites be given time to take the offending material down. It would also put pressure on ISP companies to monitor their users like never before, a gross invasion of privacy. This bill is a direct assault on a free internet and a shameful attempt by copyright lobbyists to destroy net neutrality. Essentially it's a censorship law that would end the internet as we know it in America."

This website if probably packed with copyright material. The whole site would probably be shut down if this bill passes.

Seriously, this is a huge problem.

***That is not the whitehouse website but a cleverly disguised fake, and I suggest nobody click on the link.***

And for future reference, every website has copyrighted content, so to block copyrighted content on the web is a contradiction as the entire internet would be blocked.

No, believe it or not it's actually the correct url.  I have a whitehouse.gov account and when you log in it does redirect you to an "https://wwws" subdomain. I can log into my account and navigate to the page Pillow posted.  I'll admit it's strange and it sure looks fake, though.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

My apologies for the link that's apparently iffy. Here are two other petitions:
http://www.change.org/petitions/stop-the-internet-control-bill-now
http://act.demandprogress.org/sign/pelosi/?source=fb

Your first link was the correct one, as I explained in my post.  The petition already has all the signatures they need, however.  (I believe it was the most popular petition on whitehouse.gov last I checked).
